Open Data We Use
The open data Tradoi uses to list towns, cities, districts and pincodes in India, with each source and its license.
Towns and Cities
Tradoi's place list contains information from the Countries States Cities Database by dr5hn (https://github.com/dr5hn/countries-states-cities-database), which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0 (https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/). We use release v4.0-export.17.
Districts and Pincodes
District names and pincodes come from the public pincode directory published by India Post, Department of Posts, Government of India.
How We Use It
We use this data to suggest places as you type where a requirement is needed, and to work out how far a requirement is from a seller. We do not publish the combined place list as a dataset. If we ever do, it will be offered under the same license.
