Why verification matters
- Visibility gate — phone, email and business verification together activate your Digital Store and unlock product listings.
- Higher tier, higher rank — deeper verification, such as certifications and profile completion, boosts search ranking and inquiry-match priority. The Verified tier is free for our first 10,000 sellers; deeper verification tiers (Verified+, Verified Pro, Verified Gold) are coming.
- Standing boost — each verification step strengthens your verified standing, raising buyer confidence and placement.
Verification steps
- 1. Phone Verification (required) — verify your mobile number via OTP. +5 Trust Points.
- 2. Email Verification (required to publish) — verify your business email to activate your Digital Store. +5 Trust Points.
- 3. Business Verification (required to publish) — verify with a GST Certificate or Udyam Registration. +10 Trust Points.
- 4. Licenses & Certifications (optional) — add industry licenses and quality certifications such as FSSAI, ISO, BIS/ISI, GMP, HACCP, CE Mark, Organic or Halal. +5 Trust Points.
For exporters — the Export Ready credential
IEC (Import Export Code) is an export-exposure credential, not a verification step. Uploading it earns the Export Ready badge, which buyers in India and abroad can filter for. IEC does not replace GST or Udyam and does not add to your verified standing.
Verification impact on your verified standing
Your verified standing is built from four independent layers: Foundation, Activity, Reputation and External. Verification steps drive the Foundation layer; the other layers are earned over time through real platform activity. You can see the full detail in your seller dashboard.
